Dr. Michael J. Besson received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, where he also holds a doctor of optometry degree. He continued his training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio, and was a fellow in cornea and external disease at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Besson currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, at both Wright State University in Dayton and Ohio State University in Columbus. A dedicated researcher and writer, Dr. Besson has prepared and published over thirty-nine scientific papers, articles and lectures. He is also the Medical Director of the Lions Eye Bank of West Central Ohio.
