After earning a medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1989, Dr. Liston completed his residency training at W.K.Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan where he served as Chief Resident.  He completed a fellowship at the University of Michigan where he studied pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.

A gifted teacher and lecturer, Dr. Liston has received an award for his teaching and is currently a member of the Education Committee for the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology. Dr. Liston is affiliated with many area hospitals including Children's Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
